The battlechatter system (BCS) is a completely scripted system that runs as part of the animscripts. AI are given the ability to call out threats, orders, AI names and ranks, targets and more based on actions happening in the game. The system is very dynamic, and brings engagements to life.

BCS is basically a giant queuing system, with weights applied to various items in the queue, as well as expire times on events in the queue. BCS also generates sound aliases dynamically in script, which required the sound department to make hundreds (if not thousands) of linebook entries to accommodate for the many sound possibilities.
